Thought I would check in and let everyone know how the sister-in-law date went. It wasn't that bad, spent most of the night talking about her sister and the guy she wants to date. For some reason, I kept hearing dualing banjoes.

The ex wound up calling on sil's phone wanting to talk to me and asked WTF I was doing. Told her I was having dinner with the sane one in the family.

BTW, after a bottle of wine, I did talk her into showing me the new boobs.

That's a great idea Heart. Maybe a double date would be would be the way to go. Actually, I don't think I will be going out with sil again. Was kinda weird and I think her intentions were to try and get me and her sister back together.

OK just got back from deer hunting, have I missed anything? Went by ex's house to pick up S12 and his two buddies to go hunting and ex hugged me like a long lost friend. Also asked me how last night went. Told her to ask her sister. I'm telling you, they leave for greener pastures, but they just can't let go.

Yea this thread has gone all over the place. Yes, it did feel good to walk away. Ex allowed S12 to have spend the night company tonight, but I had to take them deer hunting for the afternoon. I don't mind because my boys are my life, but she needs to figure out how to relate to them without depending on me.

No guns, she is a helluva shot. Don't want to take any chances. I know what you are saying Heart. The boys naturally are more interested in doing things with me, but she could take more of an interest in doing things with them. When they are with her, they are constantly calling me saying they are bored. At this point, I need to have a life too.

Heart, you are so very right about the kids being our life whether we live together or not. We have 50/50 cutody, so I do think she could at least try to entertain them when she has them., and yes she has the money to do things with them.. I don't mind taking them hunting and doing things with them when she has them, but I think she depends on that to do what she wants to do.

When deer season started, I had them at camp every weekend, and she said that was fine, but she did not want me to come up after deer season and say that she owed me a bunch of weekends since I had taken them hunting every weekend. That's not why I did it and I am not about to give up my weekends anyway. I don't understand her sometimes.

Yes she does have someone in her life and for a while that is about all she had time for, but recently that seems to have cooled down and she has had more time for the boys.

And yes Heart, I suppose you can be my ex.

Mine are 12 and 16. Ex has already told them on a couple of occasions that should just come live with me. Says they don't treat her with respect.
Hey, when you lie during the seperation about another man and 16 year old actually catches him at the house, what can she expect. Can you believe the guy actually hid in the bathroom and would not come out. Son asked his mom what kind of a puss would hide from a 16 year old. Kid's got some balls, just hate he had to be in the middle of that.

Now she wants their respect and does not understand why they aren't upset about me seeing someone. The reason isthat I have not tried to hide anything from them and have discussed everything that has happened.

OK Heart, I guess I see where you are coming from. My boys look at this guy as the one that caused us to split and I did to for awhile, but I realized that it was a whole bunch of things that caused it and I had many chances to correct it and did not.

So, I do know now that she has the right to date and have privacy, so I guess I need to have another talk with the boys.

Yes Heart, 16 year olds are full of piss and vinegar and they will defend their territory fiercly. Mine came by a while ago and said he did not feel like loading up a bunch of stuff, so he was going to stay one more night with mom. I had already talked to her and she said it was fine, so I said ok. Only thing is, OM was over there and S16 was pissed. I told him he was supposed to be with me and she did not have him around all last week, so it was really none of his business, and if he couldn't deal with it, he needed to stay here. He said he was going back and if he had to stay up all night, he was going to make sure they were not alone all night. Gotta love kids.
