Got the ID card today!Went to the base here and got the ID card!!
I have an appt with JAG, (military legal office) first week of Feb so they can get my daughter enrolled in DEERS and TriCare!!!
My stbx joined the National Guard last year and of course did not disclose it to anyone until he started using his orders as excuses to delay our divorce proceedings. And as you all may or may not remember, the Judge called down to his Commander to make sure he would show up!!!
Anyways, at first they tried to give me a hard time and tell me I needed a Power of Atty from him.......well....if he didn't even disclose his enlistment to his own atty of course he isn't going to just simply sign a power of atty or even agree to having me listed as his dependant!!!
He does have my daughter, at least he has a dependant child listed!!
So, then this military SGT came over and told the civilian who was giving me the hard time to go ahead and enroll me because she knew about my case, (I had talked to once over the phone last month!)
So, I got my temp ID card so I can go to JAG and then get my daughter enrolled in any and all benefits she's entitled to.
AND, the best part is they have to notify him that I was added and will be adding our daughter!!!! Evil laugh HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!  ......oh, sorry!!!
I get to go to the commissary! I haven't been to one in years!!!
(It takes so little to make me happy!)

Good for you Soon2bfree! I'm glad they didn't give you too hard of a time either! And the comissary prices used to be so much better than civilian. Are they still? Of course, I haven't been to one in what, 22 years or so! LOL!
