I guess I will chime in before CG makes up a story on me......
In a relationship for about 4 1/2 months now, the GF and her kid just moved in for a "test run". We are a bit more mature and are trying to take it slow for what that is worth.
The relationship is better than I have ever had, on my 2 prior marriages I had to support the wife 100% and now I have an adult partner. The prior marriages I was lucky if I had dinner bought and brought home with my own CC, now I have someone who makes dinner.
I am feeling closer to a "normal life" than ever before which is a very unusual thing for me, but in a good way!

Here's my update, but first, Divilish, PLEASE take it slowly. 4 1/2 mos isn't that long to have known each other.
This new guy and I have been dating for 2 1/2 mos and although we've professed our love to each other and everything is going good, he did ask me if I'd consider moving in with him.
I told him to ask me again in about 3 yrs when my youngest will be 18.
I have to think about my child first, and I did move us in with someone back in 2006 and that was a mistake, big time!!!
But my b/f and I ARE doing good!!!
There were a couple of red flags that went up for me, but I talked it over and got them taken down!!
He's really an awesome guy!!!
But all in all, Divilish, I wish you the best and I'm glad you're happy, you deserve it!!
As for my update, my divorce papers still have not been signed off because now we are asking the judge for a reconsideration of her judgement because he's still refusing to pay the balance on the health insurance for our child, so he's basically in contempt.
And the biggest thing is that he just had the house he purchased but titled in his g/f's name titled back to him!!!
I mean, come on!!! All I had to do was call the land records office!!!
He thought he could get away with it by waiting til after our last divorce hearing!!!
So we are asking now that the judge include the house in her judgement.
The very least is a lien on the house.
But besides that, I'm working more, which is great!
Spending time with my b/f which is even better!!!
I have posted pics of us on my facebook if anyone is interested!
My daughter and I have gotten so close now!!! We have a really great relationship now!! We always did, but the last couple of years was really hard on her but now she's back to her old self again, for the most part!!
Just all around doing good!!!

Devilish - Please be careful. 4 1/2 months is really not very long you know. Try to take it slow!!! I know you are happy and excited, but take time to make sure this is really what is best for everyone! I want you to be the happiest you can possibly be!!
Soon - wow! You sound like you have everything handled! You keep on your ex, don't let him get away with that crap!! I hate it when anyone, man or woman, tries pulling that kind of stuff. And congrats on your man. You sound so happy and I'm glad for you! Are you the same woman who was never going to have a man????/hhhhmmmmm.....
My update...Well, I'm doing just great. I keep meeting people, but no one really stands out just yet. I've been spending more time with the kiddos, been planting a garden, who knows if it will grow or not, and if it does grow we'll probably have to pull some of it up because there is going to be so much stuff in there!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO DE-GRASS SOIL??? Whew! But, I can say, I have a pretty good tan going on for my upperhalf. The legs not so much. I met a guy that is nice that I do things with occassionally. He texts me about 10 times a day. I must say, I can text some, but I find it slow and actually a little annoying. I think it is so much easier to just talk to someone, but in his case texting is probably better because he is such a talker. Now, that is not such a bad thing, having been with men who pretty much refused to talk, but I realized the other day that I know LOTS AND LOTS of stuff about him, but he really doesn't know very much about me. But, I'm just seeing how it goes for now.
WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE???

Yea, 4 1/2 months is a bit sooner than I initially planned but we have given a lot of thought to it and asked all the right questions I think.
It is summer and the kids are out of school so nothing really major will happen as far as changes for 3 months. She is keeping her house, possibly renting it out so she has a fallback if things don't work out. It would be different if she didn't have a place to move to I think.
It doesn't seem like 4 1/2 months, it seems like we are hitting a year or two....so funny that I think about it.
Oh yea, on Tuesday I had the 1st cooked breakfast at home since I left my parents home so many years ago. Two wives and multiple GF's since then, took 25 years to finally get breakfast! And without asking for it of course! So many things I was missing out on before....................
Glad you worked out the issues Soon!
I know that CG is just waiting to lay the "I told you so" on me so I am being very carefull!!!
